GASTROCK Praktus Shooting Stick with Safety Lock

The Praktus by GASTROCK is a robust hunting stick built around a secure Glock-closure mechanism and solid oak grip. The seating is canvas-backed leather with high-visibility orange signal corners, attached to three glass-fibre-reinforced polymer spokes. The seat detaches cleanly under firm pressure—a practical feature for transport and storage. The stick features a nine-position height-adjustable rotating base of aluminium tubing with a plate pin to prevent sinking in soft ground. Height adjusts continuously between 50 and 68 centimetres. Load rating to 130 kilograms suits extended hunting sessions. Total weight runs approximately 1200 grams; length spans roughly 90 to 110 centimetres. The construction is GS-certified and fully Made in Germany. Since 1868, GASTROCK has handcrafted shooting, walking and hiking sticks to traditional artisanal standards. Now in the sixth family generation over 150 years, every stick is made entirely by hand. The stickmaker's craft—from steam-bending to finishing—is preserved and passed down with care. All timber sources locally from forests and GASTROCK's own eight-hectare plantation, minimising transport distances and CO₂ footprint. Even wood waste feeds back into the company's energy supply.
