The Hagopur Duftzaun is a scent barrier system developed in collaboration with the ADAC to keep wildlife away from roadways and prevent collisions with deer and wild boar. Since 1990, this proven method has been deployed across Germany and has demonstrated its effectiveness on tens of thousands of kilometers of road. Today, Duftzaun is successfully installed on numerous road sections throughout Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Spain. The principle is straightforward: the specialized foam contains fine pores that open under UV radiation and release a scent blend based on wolf, lynx, bear, and human odors. This scent combination works in conjunction with road traffic noise and vehicle movement to effectively deter wildlife. The results are measurable: wildlife collisions are reduced by an average of 76 percent, in some cases up to 100 percent. Application is simple. Mount the foam canisters along risk-prone roads in two staggered rows approximately 5 meters apart on poles, roadside ditches, or trees. One canister of Duftzaun foam (approximately 45 liters) protects roughly 500 meters of road and yields approximately 200 tennis ball-sized foam spheres. The foam resists weather conditions for up to five years. To maintain optimal effectiveness, scent continuity between road and forest or pasture must be preserved. Re-treatment with Duftzaun concentrate is required at least twice yearly. Storage: keep cool and upright.
