BALLISTOL Trophy bleaching powder is a specialized preparation for restoring skulls and bone components to pristine white, whether during initial preparation or restoration of hunting trophies. The result significantly enhances the appearance of educational collections and display cabinets. The powder dissolves readily in water and is environmentally responsible. A 250-gram container provides sufficient quantity to treat one red deer skull or three roe deer skulls. Application is straightforward: dissolve 15 to 30 grams of bleaching powder per 300 milliliters of cold water, immerse the bone component to be treated, and slowly warm to boiling point. Allow to cool completely. After approximately 15 hours, rinse the prepared piece thoroughly with water. Should bleaching remain incomplete, the process can be repeated until desired results are achieved. This method effectively restores yellowed skulls and other preparations to original white condition. After heating, the spent solution contains only mineral salts that occur naturally in all water bodies. The solution may therefore be disposed of responsibly through standard household drainage without environmental concern.
