This exceptional knife is forged from steel salvaged from the armor plating of the German battleship Tirpitz. Norwegian divers recovered sections of this historic ship armor from the seabed, where the steel remained remarkably well-preserved despite decades of submersion. Böker has combined these authentic Tirpitz steel blanks with specialized tool steel to create a knife that carries significant historical weight while remaining highly functional. The blade features 300-layer Damascus steel with the characteristic Great Pyramid pattern and achieves a hardness of 61 HRC, delivering an exceptionally durable and wear-resistant edge. The knife deploys with strong, snag-free action. The ergonomic handle is constructed from anodized light alloy and fitted with selected walnut wood inlay, upon which the original crest of the battleship is engraved. The functional clip is adjustable and can be positioned for either tip-up or tip-down carry.
