In practice, it's a compact piece of Picatinny rail that you attach to the rear of the weapon. To do this, you simply replace two of the original screws with the supplied longer stainless steel versions. Because the component doesn't block any functions and doesn't get in the way, you can leave it in place whenever you use the Huben as a pistol again.
