Spring Prometheus MS100 AEG

The Prometheus MS100 AEG spring involves what Prometheus itself calls a non-linear spring: a progressive example built from windings of different types. Where the windings are closely spaced, resistance is low; with windings that are further apart, that resistance increases. The result is that the teeth on the piston and in the gearbox are placed under far less strain and experience a significantly smaller impact.

In practice, it works like this: initially the load remains light. As the closely spaced windings touch each other, the stiffer windings with more space between them take over. In the final part of the compression, pressure is built up this way, just as a linear spring would do over its entire length.

Aside from the longer lifespan of the internal components of your airsoft replica, there's another advantage.
