Tripod Vanguard VEO 5 264AV-14 - Aluminium

The Vanguard VEO 5 26AV-14 is an aluminum tripod for spotting scopes and large (video) cameras. The fluid-dampened head allows both horizontal panning and vertical tilting, delivering smooth, shock-free movements. An adjustable counterbalancing spring keeps the head at your desired angle without needing to hold the operating arm or adjust locking knobs — convenient for extended observation or filming.

The legs are made of aluminum with a diameter of 26 mm and extend via twist-locks. This achieves a maximum setup height of 168 cm, while the tripod itself weighs just 2.1 kg. Fully collapsed it measures 58 cm long with a diameter of 10 cm — compact enough to take into the field, with a payload capacity of 8 kg. The legs lock in three positions: 23°, 50° and 80°.

The central column contains a built-in short column that you can remove and attach inverted to the base. This allows you to work at a minimum height of 22 cm, useful for low-angle shots or observation close to the ground. The central column also features a removable hook for additional ballast, which increases stability in wind or on uneven terrain. The rubber feet provide standard grip; by rotating them you deploy a built-in metal spike for use on gravel, ice or other slippery surfaces.

Attachment is via the included QS-71P quick-release plate, compatible with universal Arca-mount. A built-in spirit level helps you quickly align your setup with the horizon.
