Do you want to shoot accurately at long range? The Nielsen 7.62 mm slug of 54.5 grain is made for that, and where permitted by law may also be used for hunting. The considerable weight combined with an aerodynamic profile delivers very high precision. Expect a ballistic coefficient of 0.120.
Characteristic of this type with dish base: the projectile is pressed from soft lead and features a hollow point. This construction causes the slug to expand lightning-fast on impact, ensuring a powerful transfer of energy. Lubrication is no longer necessary — the slugs arrive already oiled.
Please note: you cannot use these slugs in an FX Smooth Twist loop; however, they work perfectly with the FX Smooth Twist X slug liner.
