Cold pressed slugs of soft lead — that is the basis of the Nielsen 5.5 mm 23 grain (.218). The cold pressing process results in high uniformity per slug, which directly translates to consistent precision on target. The hollow point combined with the soft lead ensures rapid expansion upon impact.
With more mass and better aerodynamics than standard pellets, these dish base slugs are suitable for powerful 5.5 mm air rifles and perform significantly better at longer ranges. The ballistic coefficient is 0.080. A common choice for shooters who shoot with heavy air pressure rifles at distance.
Please note: suitable for the FX Smooth Twist X slug liner, but not for use in FX Smooth Twist barrels.
