Vector Optics Continental 2-16x50 Riflescope

The Vector Optics Continental 2-16x50 is a versatile riflescope with a matte black anodised 6061-T6 aluminium housing — a material known for its durability and lightweight properties. The tube diameter is 30 mm, which allows the scope to be mounted on various rail types with the correct mounts. At the lowest magnification of 2x, the scope offers a field of view of 20.5 metres at 100 metres distance, which is more than sufficient to quickly gain situational awareness. Once a target is in view, you zoom in to 16x, at which point the field of view is 2.56 metres at 100 metres — useful for precise work at greater distances.

The reticle, type VET-10BDC, is located on the second focal plane and therefore does not magnify when zooming in. It does feature a red illuminated dot with eleven adjustable brightness levels, so the reticle remains clearly visible against any background. Switching between levels is done via the turret on the left side of the housing; it also contains the CR2032 battery that powers the illumination.

Both the elevation turret and the windage turret offer a maximum adjustment of 110 MOA. Each click provides a precise correction of ¼ MOA and is clearly audible, allowing for quick and reliable adjustment. The fully multi-coated lenses deliver a clear and sharp image across the entire field of view. The objective lens with 50 mm diameter provides good light transmission, while the nitrogen filling prevents condensation on the inside of the lenses — even with changing temperatures, the image remains clear.

The housing has an IP67 water-resistance certification. This means the scope can be submerged to a depth of one metre for up to 30 minutes without water entering. A common choice for shooters who are active in changing weather conditions.
