The Wiley X Spear ARC Black rail mount is designed to attach safety glasses such as the Spear or Nerve to a helmet via two adjustable elastic bands with quick-release fasteners.
By mounting the glasses this way, they fit better and cannot be lost. The mount clicks directly into the connection points of the original elastic band. For the helmet attachment itself, you have two options: a fixed mounting point or a quick-release that slides into a designated groove. In both cases, a hinge point ensures that the 25 mm wide elastic band does not kink.
The quick-release fasteners are designed to release at a force of 12 kg — a deliberate choice to protect the neck in case of a sudden jerk.
