With an inner diameter of 6.00 mm, the Nine Ball G17/G18C/P226 power barrel falls into the tight barrels category. The tight fit around a 6 mm BB provides virtually complete sealing of the air column — air pressure cannot escape past the BB and causes no turbulence that would disturb accuracy. Important: use only high-quality BBs. Cheap BBs deviate too much in diameter and can jam in the tight barrel — a common point of attention with any tight barrel.

The material is stainless steel, which provides a practical advantage over brass or aluminum: steel expands significantly less when heated by BB friction, keeping group size consistent over longer shooting sessions. The dimensions are monitored during production with tolerances of only +/- 0.01 mm.
