As for the blade: this is made from 5CR15MOV steel with a hardness of 54 HRC. This value was deliberately chosen, because this way the cutting edge stays sharp for longer while you can still sharpen the knife easily. Rust and staining have little effect on this steel, and the titanium nitride finish also provides good wear resistance.
The handle is made up of two scale parts of GRN (glass-reinforced nylon). This material is light yet hard, so it can take a knock and is well-suited for rougher work. Because GRN naturally resists moisture, you can use this pocket knife without worry outdoors as well.
