Looking for a handy knife to carry daily? The Kershaw Scallion Olive is a design by Ken Onion: compact in size, but solidly built and thus a great EDC choice. The handle scales are made of lightweight 6061 T6 aluminium with a wear-resistant green anodised coating, and on the handle you'll find both a lanyard hole and a tip-down pocketclip.
Opening is done with one hand: pressing the flipper activates the familiar SpeedSafe assisted opening system, which via spring tension gives the first part of the movement a push. The serrated blade is made from 420 HC steel — hard, tough and corrosion-resistant, and easy to keep sharp.
When the knife is open, a thumb-operated liner lock keeps the blade in place. For the closed position, Kershaw has added a tip-lock slider, so the blade is guaranteed not to open by itself during transport. A reliable pocket knife for those who want something compact to carry daily.
