Folding Knife Kershaw Ferrite

The blade of the Kershaw Ferrite measures 8.4 cm and has a thickness of 2.77 mm. The steel — 8Cr13MoV — is easy to sharpen and holds its sharpness for a long time. Kershaw has also provided the blade with a titanium carbonitride coating, which provides a sleek appearance and protection against corrosion.

The Ferrite is a 'barracuda sleek' design by Rick Hinderer. Characteristic is the cutout on the back of the blade, where your finger rests perfectly for controlled cuts. Opening is done single-handedly via the thumb rest or flipper, supported by Kershaw's SpeedSafe assisted opening system. In the open position, the frame lock holds the blade securely in place — a common and reliable locking mechanism for everyday use.

The handle is made of stainless steel with a smooth finish, so the knife slides smoothly into your pocket. On the underside of the handle is a filler tab: in addition to a neat appearance, it prevents the pocket knife from slipping when you apply a lot of pressure to it. The pocket clip can be mounted on both sides of the handle in tip-up position, making the knife suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users.
