What stands out is the prominently oversized pivot point and the rough texture on the handle scales, which are made of FRN (fiberglass-reinforced nylon). Because grooves are incorporated for both your fingers and thumb, the knife sits just a bit more securely in your hand.
The blade is made of solid 8Cr13MoV steel and you deploy it with one hand via the familiar flipper; Kershaw's SpeedSafe assisted opening system gives you a helping hand. A wear-resistant black oxide coating protects the blade, which locks firmly in a liner lock after opening. You unlock it simply with your thumb. An excellent choice for everyday use.
