Die Long Johns 400 aus dem etwas dickeren, 400 g/m² starken Material, wird auf speziellen Maschinen rundgestrickt und kommt daher ohne Längsnähte aus. Das hat den Vorteil, dass die direkt am Körper getragenen Kleidungsstücke nicht scheuern und so besonders komfortabel und verschleißfest sind. Die Bündchen sind elastisch und in das Material eingestrickt. Die Merinowolle bietet aufgrund ihrer krausen Struktur eine optimale Wärmeregulierung. Die Luft zwischen den Fasern verringert den Wärmeaustausch im Material und wirkt isolieren gegen eintretende Kälte. Wolle ist bis zu einem gewissen Grad selbstreinigend und riecht auch dann nicht unangenehm, wenn der Körper schwitzt. Wollfasern können bis zu 30 Prozent des Eigengewichts an Feuchtigkeit absorbieren, ohne sich feucht anzufühlen. Beim Aufnehmen der Feuchtigkeit wird Absorptionswärme entwickelt, sodass das Kleidungsstück selbst in feuchtem Zustand noch wärmt. Alle Woolpower-Produkte werden in Nordschweden hergestellt.
